TrackShot Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy explains how Roomanos Lab Teknoloji Limited Şirketi("Roomanos", "we") handles personal data in connection with TrackShot, our screen-recording application for macOS, and with TrackShot purchases and licences.

It does not cover the Roomanos marketplace platform (restaurant, courier and customer accounts) — that is a separate service with a separate Privacy Policy, which also governs your visit to this website.

2. The short version

• Your recordings never leave your Mac. We never receive them and cannot access them.
• TrackShot contains no analytics, telemetry or usage tracking.
• The only data we process is what is needed to sell you a licence and activate it.

3. Your recordings and projects

Recording, editing, preview and export all run locally on your Mac. Video, audio, screenshots, webcam footage, project files and exported files are stored only on your own device, in locations you choose. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party, and deleting them is entirely under your control.

You are responsible for what you record, including obtaining any consent required before recording other people or confidential material — see section 10 of the TrackShot Terms of Service.

4. Licence activation data

Licence activation and validation is the only network request TrackShot makes. When you activate, deactivate or revalidate a licence, the app sends to our licensing provider:

• Your licence key, and the activation reference issued for that Mac.
• A non-identifying device label in the form Mac-a1b2c3d4, derived from the hashed hardware identifier, so you can tell your two activations apart and deactivate the right one. TrackShot deliberately does notsend your Mac's name, which on most Macs contains the owner's real name.

A hashed hardware identifier is used to bind the licence to the Mac it was activated on. It is stored locally in your Mac's Keychain and is not transmitted to us.

We use this data for one purpose only: to issue and validate licences and to enforce the 2-Mac limit in section 3 of the Terms of Service. It is not used for profiling, marketing or advertising.

5. Purchase data and Paddle

Paddle.com Market Ltd. acts as the Merchant of Record and authorised reseller for all TrackShot orders. Paddle operates the checkout and collects the data needed to take payment — typically your name, email address, billing country and address, tax identifiers where applicable, and payment details. Paddle is an independent controller of that data and processes it under Paddle's privacy notice.

We never see or store your full card details. From Paddle we receive the information needed to fulfil and support the order: your email address, the order or receipt reference, the product and amount, and your billing country for tax and accounting purposes.

6. Support email

If you write to [email protected], we process your email address and whatever you choose to put in the message, in order to answer you. Please do not send us recordings or other sensitive files unless we specifically ask for something to reproduce a bug.

7. Legal bases

• Performance of a contract — issuing, activating and supporting your licence, and completing your order.
• Legal obligation — invoicing, tax and statutory bookkeeping.
• Legitimate interests — enforcing the licence terms and preventing licence-key abuse.

Where Turkish law applies, these correspond to the lawful grounds in Article 5 of Law No. 6698 (KVKK); where the GDPR applies, to Article 6(1)(b), (c) and (f).

8. Sharing and international transfer

We share personal data only with the providers needed to run this business: Paddle (payment, tax and invoicing), our licensing provider (licence issuing and activation), and our email provider. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Some of these providers operate outside Türkiye, so your data may be processed abroad under the safeguards their own terms and applicable data-protection law require.

9. Retention

Licence and activation records are kept while the licence exists, so that activations can be validated and moved between your Macs. Order and invoice records are kept for the statutory bookkeeping period under Turkish law. Support email is kept only as long as it is useful for the matter it concerns.

10. Your rights

You may ask us to confirm whether we hold data about you, to give you a copy, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to a particular use — under Article 11 of KVKK and, where applicable, the corresponding GDPR rights. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within the period the applicable law allows. Requests about checkout data held by Paddle can also be made to Paddle directly.

Deleting your licence record ends your ability to activate TrackShot on a new Mac, so we will tell you before acting on such a request.

11. Children

TrackShot is a tool for professional and personal content creation and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Security

Your licence key and activation reference are stored in your Mac's Keychain, not in a plain-text preference file. Traffic between the app and the licensing provider is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect, but the surface here is deliberately small: the app has no account, no cloud storage and no upload path.

13. Changes

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page moves with it. Material changes affecting existing customers will also be sent to the email address on the licence.
